Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy

Shipping Policy

Please also 2-3 business days for handling prior to shipment. Shipping is through USPS, Canada Post or UPS, unless expressly stated by the customer. 

The Backcountry Swell does not permit cancellations or refunds for orders placed through thebackcountryswell.com due to issues of or related to customs clearance, including but not limited to delays, holds, and/or import charges.

Customers are required to reject delivery of any packages deemed to be damaged at the time of receipt or report such damage to thebackcountryswell@gmail.com within a period of twenty-four (24) hours following delivery. Failure to reject delivery or report damage within this period shall constitute acceptance of the product(s) in the condition in which they were dispatched.

Return Policy

The Backcountry Swell accepts returns within 30 days of shipment on regular-priced merchandise only. All products must be in new and unused condition, and accompanied by the original proof of purchase. Products purchased at a discount or sale price are not eligible for return or refund.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the product is deemed defective pursuant to the warranty policy herein. All returns must be authorized in advance via email to thebackcountryswell@gmail.com. Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Upon receipt and inspection of returned product(s), The Backcountry Swell will notify the customer of the approval or rejection of the return. If approved, a refund will be issued to the original method of payment within a reasonable processing period.

Warranty Coverage

The Warranty Coverage applies to The Backcountry Swell plastic products as follows:

 

Plastic Components: Lifetime

Non Plastic Components: 3 Months

Warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the periods stated above. This Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective component only. No other warranties, express or implied, are offered.

All warranty claims must be submitted via email to thebackcountryswell@gmail.com and must include:

  1. A copy of the original purchase receipt or invoice

  2. The name of the retailer or dealer and the date of original purchase

  3. A clear written description of the issue

  4. Clear, dated photographs of the product(s) relevant to the claim

Warranty claims must be reviewed and approved before any product(s) may be returned. The Backcountry Swell reserves the sole right to determine, at its discretion, whether a product is covered under this warranty based on the documentation provided.

If a claim is approved, The Backcountry Swell will bear applicable return or replacement shipping costs.

General Warranty Terms

This warranty applies exclusively to products used as intended and in accordance with the use guidelines provided by The Backcountry Swell. The warranty herein does not apply to:

(a) Damage caused by ultraviolet radiation or heat, including sun exposure
(b) Damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, neglect, or misuse, including but not limited to improper handling and storage
(c) Damage resulting from use of third-party or aftermarket components
(d) Products with defaced or removed serial or batch identification
(e) Theft or loss
(f) Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations

(g) Damage caused due to spanning gaps

The Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. The warranty period for any repair or replacement item remains tied to the original purchase date.
